Docksider in Mount Desert Island

Cool spot visited while on vacation great experience.....food was good, service was good....love Maine....if you bike or hike...you've gotta visit ....lots to do outdoors....great vacation.....I could go back anything....had a great time , locals were very friendly and laided back ...lots to see...clean air lots of views and scenary.....

Nice little place and Northeast harbor. The only negative thing I can say is that the young girls who are working with take out window didn't seem very confident in what they were doing and they did not make eye contact or smile. I know they are young but whoever is training them should do a better job

Good food, nice staff!

Really good simple seafood restaurant in otherwise sleepy northeast harbor. They have the typical seafood fare - chowders, lobster rolls, clam rolls, and burger/chicken fingers. Fries are pretty good but the onion rings are excellent. The lobster rolls were perfectly simple - let the lobster meat shine!

The waitress and really the entire experience when I was there was very UNSATISFACTORY. Staff not polite, unfair prices, and sub optimal food. Would highly recommend going elsewhere..... like literally anywhere else.

Great price for food! Great ambiance. We met the greatest family from Mobile AL and we ended up talking with them for a while :) Igot the 1 1/2 lb lobster and it was awesome! Best place we ate on our entire trip.

Really really awful. Waited 45 minutes for food(told it would be 15). They were not busy. On the expensive side and the food is terrible. How can they be so close to the water and the fish not taste fresh. Neither of my kids would even eat the food and we were starving.

Great little family owned restaurant. I am a local and eat here often during the season. Very affordable lobster dinner options, and delicious burgers, sandwiches, clam chowder and onion rings! The chicken tenders are marinated in buttermilk and are seriously to-die for. Will always recommend!

Clam chowder didn't have many clams, weak broth without much flavor. Scallop roll ok haddock bites were good

What a mistake it was stopping here. The lobster was disappointing. The staff was a joke. Asked if we could both substitute our sides to get one order onion rings. She said she'd do that then did the opposite. What a waste and it was wildly over priced.

Best Lobster Stew! Even had a meal on menu for our dog.

Nasty, old waitress who practically threw the menus at us and said "it's going to be a wait" When asked if we could sit on the porch, it was "no, I haven't bused the tables yet." We left. The owner would be better served with a sign out front saying, "Customers not wanted", rather than have a crabby, mean waitress chase them off. We went to Bar Harbor and got food there. Good luck running this place.

A simple place without sea view but the onion rings and the lobster roll are great.

Good food with friendly staff. Burger was great so is the lobster roll, fish was bit over cooked. Blueberry pie was spot on with very tasty ice cream. Bit expensive and small portion, wait is bit long. Having free wifi is a plus. Not the best you could have in the area but not bad at all.

Pretty mediocre seafood. Refrigerated and cold lobster roll. Crab roll had shell fragments mixed with meat. Expensive and Lackluster all around. $20 later I’m still hungry and have a bad taste in my mouth.

The gazpacho is just tomato juice with chopped vegetables, it is NOT a gazpacho. The fried clams were underdone and each bite tasted like eating raw dough with some clam in there. To charge such high prices for such mediocre food merits no more than one star.

Went to this restaurant at the suggestion of a random lady on the street. Big mistake. Had to shout 10 times at the waitress to order. Flies buzzing around everywhere. Ordered a fish sandwich and clam chowder. Fish and chowder were okay but they forgot to cook the corn that came with it. Not a figure of speech--literally raw piece of corn. They gave me a glass of ice water but neglected to mention that unlike virtually every other restaurant in the United States, the tap water in a glass with ice cost $1.50. And as if that weren't enough, they mistakenly charged my fish sandwich as a more expensive lobster roll. I don't ordinarily write reviews, even for bad restaurants, but this was easily one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to anywhere. Avoid at all costs--there are plenty of good alternatives in the area for seafood or anything else.

Worst place on Earth! The women sounded like she would give u cancer just speaking to you. Food over priced, burnt, and probably gave me cancer.

Arrived by bike, could order at the takeout window a terrific lobster roll, or ice cream! A hidden gem!

Good generic seafood options but the restaurant is quite rundown and doesn’t give a good vibe. A little sketchy to be honest. Was the only place open in the area outside of bar harbour.

Brent took great care of us and we had two fantastic dinners at The Docksider! Definitely my favorite place in MDI!

Waitress was too social and loud and spent far too much time convincing me to order a desert.

Lobster roll had a lot of meat but the roll wasn't fully grilled/buttered. Gazpacho was excellent!!

Watery clam chowder and steamers were soooooo gritty. Closed for the season now, so no opportunity for a redemption visit. Not a great value.

Best seafood on Mount Dessert Island. Be sure to sit outside for a nice cool breeze. Ice cream next door and a short walk down to a working marina with benches for watching the harbor and grass for the kids to play on.

Wow stumbled upon this place in Northeast harbor while on vacation it's located right off of main street on memory lane. It's a white and red trim building with a take out/ice cream window on the side of the building and then a full service restaurant inside as well as a patio outside that is dog friendly 🐕. We started off with the haddock bites and steamers followed by lobster rolls that had huge chunks of tail and claw meat lightly tossed with mayo sooooo good!! Everything is made to order and all homemade you won't be disappointed 😎 finished off by sharing a slice of homemade blueberry pie ala mode Mic Drop

Great service and food. Highly recommend the bear sandwich (grilled blueberry bread, honey, cheddar, apples, and blueberry) great vegetarian option! Probably one of the favorite foods I had on my trip. The staff was very friendly and the place has cool vibes and the food was really good. Overall great experience, highly recommend. Ignore the negative reviews, they sound like they’re from stuffy rich people.

Excellent food, service poor

Very OVER-RATED-PRICED. Staff not cordial, one hit my grandchild on head with service tray!! FOOD some of worst I ever had... plus.. they ran out of desserts!!! Views were not so great either. Save your $$$.

Very friendly staff this year, many food options, even a dish for dogs out on the patio, homemade desserts, a take out ice cream and so much more! The food was GREAT!

Super good local spot! You definitely get a bang for your buck. We got the lobster rolls and they were all meat! Very big chunks, it was over flowing with meat. I noticed they had a variety of lobster dinner options that were very reasonably priced and some came with an app and dessert for $27 ! I would recommend this place and would certainly go back.
